Transactions and Security
At AlpsCon, no transaction is executed that you have not confirmed yourself. You approve every login and every transaction in your wallet. The website can send requests, but it cannot act on its own.
When you start an action on alpscon.ai, for example entering the vault, the website only sends a proposal to your wallet. Your wallet shows you what is about to happen: which smart contract, how many tokens and which network fee in BNB. The transaction is only executed once you agree. If you decline, nothing happens. After entering, the rules of the Vault Contract apply, for example for fees and exiting.
Confirmation is done with your private key. It is stored only in your wallet, meaning in MetaMask or on your hardware wallet. AlpsCon never sees it and never receives it. The website only knows your public wallet address.
Every confirmed transaction is stored on the BNB Smart Chain. You can check it on BscScan at any time, as well as the smart contracts involved.
- Never enter your seed phrase (the 12 or 24 words), not on a website, in a form or in a chat. You never need it for AlpsCon.
- Before connecting, check that you are really on alpscon.ai.
- Only confirm what you started yourself. If an unexpected request appears, decline it.
- When giving an approval (Approve), check how many tokens you are approving.
Depending on your wallet, the confirmation looks slightly different. Choose your wallet to see the process. You can find out what sets a hot wallet apart from a cold wallet under Hot and Cold Wallet.
The rating compares the three options with each other. How secure your wallet is also depends on how you use it.
